Enhancements
IT Glue Chrome extension version 2.8.0
Version 2.8.0 introduces a redesigned extension interface that delivers a series of improvements across the IT Glue Chrome extension, making it easier to navigate and more consistent with the IT Glue platform experience.
Main Page
- The overall look and feel of the extension has been refreshed with a cleaner, more modern design.
- Buttons are now larger and more visually prominent, making key actions easier to find and click.
Settings
- Sign out is now accessible directly from the Settings panel, eliminating the need to navigate elsewhere to log out.
Organization
- The Organization/Global Search switcher has been updated with a refreshed UI, making it easier to switch between searching within an organization and searching across your entire IT Glue account.
Security Updates
- This release includes security updates to strengthen the protection of your IT Glue data within the browser extension. You are encouraged to update to version 2.8.0 as soon as it becomes available.
Chrome Web Store
- The IT Glue Chrome Extension listing on the Google Chrome Web Store has been updated with new marketing screenshots reflecting the redesigned interface.
IT Glue In-App Enhancement
Bitlocker folder move protection
- The folder BitLocker Keys (via Network Glue) is now protected from being moved within the same organization, ensuring it consistently remains in its default root location. Drag-and-drop and bulk move actions are restricted for this folder to prevent it from becoming stuck and to ensure more predictable folder management.
Fixes
- Fixed a bug, where Kaseya Assist failed to trigger clarification follow-up questions for search queries containing multiple keywords. Ambiguous multi-keyword searches now properly prompt users with clarification options to help refine and narrow down search results.
- Resolved an issue, where one-time passwords (OTPs) were not sent when accessing shared password links in the EU region if the recipient's email address contained uppercase letters. Email verification for Password SafeShare links is now case-insensitive across all regions, ensuring OTP codes are delivered regardless of letter casing.
- An issue where the IT Glue Global Expirations page displayed incorrect expiration dates for domains has been fixed. Domain expiration dates across the Global Expirations view now accurately synchronize and reflect the dates shown in the domain details.
- Resolved an issue, where devices moved to a different organization in Datto RMM remained linked to the previous organization's configuration in IT Glue. The sync process now clears outdated configuration links upon organization changes, ensuring devices are correctly reassigned to the appropriate organization.
- An issue where starting a document import as an Editor or Creator failed to generate an entry in the Activity Logs has been fixed. Activity Logs now properly record document import creation events initiated by Editor and Creator roles.
- Resolved an issue where email notifications for deleted IT Glue accounts in the EU and AU regions incorrectly referenced the NA region. Deletion confirmation emails now accurately reflect the specific region where the account was deleted.
- Fixed a bug, where failed Autotask sync operations resulted in an unhandled raw_body exception in adapter logs rather than a descriptive error. Detailed and actionable error messages are now properly displayed both in the adapter logs and on the synced asset page when a push fails.
- Resolved an issue where Datto RMM software failed to sync into IT Glue. Datto RMM software payloads are now sanitized and truncated during synchronization, ensuring all software records sync smoothly without error.
- Fixed an issue where logging in to the IT Glue mobile app using Kaseya One SSO failed when multi-factor authentication was set to push notifications. The authentication redirect flow has been updated, allowing users on iOS and Android to successfully authenticate and access the mobile app via push MFA.
- Resolved an issue where enabling Kaseya One auto-provisioning for newly provisioned Gorgon tenants did not automatically enable user provisioning. Automatic user provisioning is now automatically enabled as part of the provisioning workflow, eliminating the need for manual configuration.
- An issue where clicking Export on an organization's Locations page failed to generate or download an export file has been fixed. Location exports now generate and download properly from both Global Locations and Organization-level Locations pages.
- Resolved an issue where the Assign and Due Date fields were hidden when creating checklists in MyGlue. These fields are now properly visible and accessible.
- Resolved an issue, where documents were not visually grayed out during move operations, particularly in Dark UI mode or when moving documents between organizations. The move status banners now accurately reflect the operation’s progress and only display a success message once the move is complete.
